I have always found it so fascinating how food transports you to most special moments in life. For me, conchas and Gamesa cookies are so embedded in my childhood recollections, that in the darkest times where I have felt lost with no control as I face the realities of adulthood, a simple bite of a cookie or a concha will bring me back to self. The soft color palette and warm tone of these photos are reminiscent of innocent times, juxtaposed by prop representations of womanhood (lace, garter, and bra), which illustrate that the older I get, the tighter I hold on to the my childhood memories.
